About the role

About GM Markets

Building Robinhood for the world. Our mission is to seamlessly bring the full capital markets and trading experience cross border. We abstract away the complex technology so that anyone, anywhere, can trade global markets (stocks, commodities, FX, and derivatives) efficiently. Backed by a stellar team of IITians and ex-YC with FinTech pedigree.

About the role

We need a highly technical Quant Product Manager with an elite trading mindset. We aim to build a derivatives platform with a feature set and UI/UX that rivals the best in the industry (e.g., FTX-level product quality). You will lead the design and mathematical structuring of our trading engines, order books, and risk systems.

What you will work on

  • Designing comprehensive order book systems, matching engines, and API structures for perpetuals, futures, and options.
  • Developing rock-solid risk management guardrails, precisely calculating cross-margin limits, and defining strict liquidation test cases.
  • Translating complex trading mathematics into actionable engineering parameters and verifying that the backend accurately mirrors those edge cases.
  • Balancing high leverage offerings for traders with the backend liquidation times (e.g., settling on Alpaca or Interactive Brokers) to ensure the exchange never blows up.

Must have requirements

  • Exceptional mathematical and quantitative skills.
  • Complete, hands-on experience and deep understanding of how trading platforms and order books function.
  • Proven ability to design complex financial products from scratch with a strong product sense (understanding both the backend math and the frontend user experience).
  • Deep expertise in risk management, cross-margin architecture, and liquidation engines.

Good to have requirements

  • Direct experience building Futures & Options (F&O) products at a top trading firm or exchange (e.g., Zerodha, Angel One, Groww, or a major crypto exchange).
  • Educational background from a top-tier engineering institution.

Why join

You will be solving some of the hardest mathematical and product design challenges in global finance. You won't have to deal with red tape, you will be handed the reins to build a world-class trading system alongside top-tier engineers. We offer highly competitive, market-norm compensation and a culture built strictly on intellectual horsepower and execution.
