About the role

About GrowthAXL: A product based startup building an AI/agentic platform sold in four layers: - L1 – Platform: generic capabilities, no fixed use case. A co-pilot-style assistant for knowledge workers — ingest data, ask questions, delegate tasks. - L2 – Agentic backbone: specialized agents bundled into solutions (data preparation, data quality, master data management, product information management). - L3 – Solutions: complete packaged solutions with a custom UI; customers buy the outcome, not the agents (e.g., home-care risk management, revenue-cycle management, e-commerce content/PIM). - L4 – Custom: one-off standalone builds with strategic prospects (a repeatable need worth baking back into the product). Current clients in Healthcare and other domains to follow soon. The Role: You will own three things: - Map & solution: understand a customer's problem, map it to existing platform/product judge the delta between what the product does and what the customer needs, then build a quick POC/trial on top of existing capabilities to convince the customer. - Engineering handoff: ensure the solution is maintainable and can be handed to the engineering / customer-implementation teams for post-sale build and maintenance. - Productize: spot common patterns across deals and work with Product to bake them into the core product. - As company scales lead a team of 3-4 and grow the pre-sales function   Must-haves: - Problem-solving and innovation under real customer ambiguity. - Customer engagement — owns the sales lifecycle, knows how to "move the needle" when a deal stalls; not just communication, but engaging a customer end-to-end. - Engineering rigor — reads existing product/capabilities and judges feasible vs infeasible extensions; can build quick POCs (comfortable using coding agents to stand up UI, back-end, data, logic). - Speed — fast turnarounds;  - Software development foundation — has genuinely built as an engineer (~2+ yrs typical), then moved toward pre-sales / product / solutioning. Nice-to-have: - MBA: preferable - waived if the candidate has ≥1-2 yrs in pre-sales, product management, or solution engineering at a good company. - Prior agentic/ML/AI experience is a plus - Domain: healthcare experience, or PIM/MDM experience — a strong plus.
